The friends of Asher Holmes is currently asking for funding to help us get established as a "Non-Profit" 503c organization.
Our funding is currently shoe-string. We calculate that it will take $3000 to complete the paperwork, apply for and complete the requirements to establish the organization as a non-profit entity. Once that level is reached, we can then apply for grants, and government funding to help us in our quest. However, until that status is reached, we are exclusively dependent on the generous donation of the people in the community.
Until we can request grants and loans, we currently anticipate that we will attempt to crowdsource funds to help us achieve our goal and complete our required filing with the various government entities.
Until the non-profit status is reached, we will be accountable to the funds received and spent through this website. To date, here is the current accounting for the organization:
